Requirements

Minimum 3-5 years commercial or industrial experience as Journeyman electrician, with fire alarm expertise
High school diploma or equivalent, plus apprenticeship and/or formal training in the specialty
Ability to pass security criminal background check
Ability to read blueprints, bend and thread rigid conduit, wire and terminate devices, perform quality control testing and troubleshooting
Working knowledge of installing electrical systems in new and renovation construction settings
Proficient in troubleshooting systems, wiring systems, demo systems, wiring devices, and understanding circuitry
Proficient working with live switchgear, with understanding and use of proper PPE
Ability to lift, push, pull, and move moderately heavy objects; ascend/descend ladders
Willing to work nights/weekends/overtime as required
Good communication skills to interact with project managers, subordinates, vendors, other trades, and professionals
Possession of reliable transportation and basic hand tools
OSHA 10 Certification and CPR training (a plus)
Licensed Electrician (a plus)
Previous service/maintenance experience (a plus)

Responsibilities

Inspects and evaluates electrical equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation; verifies compliance with National Electrical Code
Studies blueprints and schematics to plan materials and labor for tasks
Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains electrical systems, circuits, and equipment
Performs related work as assigned
