Requirements

3 years of manufacturing experience
Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills
Some PLC experience (e.g., Allen Bradley troubleshooting)
Experience with mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings)
Experience reading and applying product manuals for repairs
Experience troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns
Experience reading mechanical drawings (e.g., hydraulics, pneumatics)
Electrical experience with 480V systems
Experience wiring 3-phase motors/VFD
Ability to replace like-for-like electrical components and set up Proximity Sensors
Interpersonal skills

Subject Matter Expert (SME) on a few plant production systems and equipment (mechanical)
Capable of performing all minor mechanical rebuilds and assisting in major rebuilds
Ability to perform set-up procedures on some production plant equipment
Ability to troubleshoot and repair most mechanical issues on plant production equipment
Understanding of operation of most auxiliary support systems

Responsibilities

Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment
Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment
Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties
Detect faulty operations and defective material; report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Perform additional related duties as assigned
