Requirements

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • >2 years of experience in electronics design and schematic capture using Altium or equivalent
  • Experience with electrical simulation tools

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electronics used in electric aviation
  • Capture schematics to support circuit functions
  • Design filters to meet the EMI/EMC requirements of DO-160G
  • Analyze electronic hardware including input power and input signal filters
  • Design digital circuits using ICs, ADCs, microprocessors, buffers, memory devices and serial databus transceivers (CAN, RS422, ARINC-429)
  • Design and test inverter motor control circuits
  • Analyze analog signal input conditioning circuits using LTSpice
  • Compute power budgets and perform thermal analyses
  • Use standard lab probing and troubleshooting test equipment
  • Build and test prototype hardware
  • Develop electronic test fixtures (bed-of-nails) and write hardware test procedures
  • Review PCB layouts and coordinate with contract manufacturers
  • Research electronic parts and work with sourcing
