Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field and 5+ years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree plus 3+ years of experience
  • Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and circuit design
  • Experience with high voltage DC power systems and/or power electronics
  • Familiarity with CAD tools and mixed-signal circuit analysis
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and testing experience using specialized lab equipment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret clearance

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, development, and testing of undersea communication and power systems
  • Perform circuit design, mixed-signal analysis, and troubleshooting at the board and module level
  • Lead or support high-voltage DC power module design from a few watts to kilowatt+ converters
  • Conduct Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
  • Develop specifications, requirements, and verification procedures for electronic systems
  • Utilize lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and power meters for testing and troubleshooting
  • Support assembly and validation of circuit cards, modules, and subsystems in a lab environment
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers
  • Stay ahead of technology trends and contribute to research and development initiatives
