Requirements

Experienced Electrical Engineer with strong background in lighting systems, electrical control systems, and/or switchgear
Strong technical knowledge and design proficiency in electrical systems for commercial, industrial, or institutional projects
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Proficiency in CAD or electrical design software for preparing electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
Knowledge of applicable codes (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, etc.) and client requirements

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement electrical systems, including lighting, electrical control systems, and/or switchgear configurations
Prepare electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications using CAD or electrical design software
Perform load calculations, short circuit studies, and system coordination analysis
Select and specify electrical equipment, lighting fixtures, control panels, and switchgear components
Ensure designs comply with applicable codes (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, etc.) and client requirements
Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, contractors, and vendors to coordinate design and construction activities
Conduct site visits for field inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting
Review and approve shop drawings and submittals
Assist with cost estimation, project scheduling, and procurement activities
Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle
