Requirements
Proficiency in software: PSS/E, TARA, AASPEN, OSI (SCADA/EMS), iTOA (Outage Management System)
Ability to perform intermediate level engineering work requiring application of engineering knowledge
Education, experience, and relevant skills commensurate with Electrical Engineer to Sr level (final grade based on candidate qualifications)
Leadership & Guidance: Coordinates work activities of others, performs routine engineering with minimum direction, follows company policies/standards/regulations, provides training/guidance to lower-level employees
Planning & Organization Ability: Coordinates development of input for forecasting costs, uses scheduling techniques (CPM, PERT, flow charts), initiates corrective action for project objectives
Problem Solving & Initiative: Resolves routine problems requiring definition/clarification, identifies beyond-routine problems, seeks opportunities and embraces new ideas
Communication: Develops/reviews/presents technical reports, studies, analyses clearly and concisely

Responsibilities
Oversee daily tasks such as outage approvals, next day studies, weekly analysis
Be engaged in RTO activities to increase awareness of industry changes/impacts
Ensure coverage over critical outage periods and balance work schedules for on-call schedule
Lead team in Restoration Developments, Emergency Operating Plans, and operating guides
Oversee outage planning discussions and operational settings
Be engaged in Transmission Planning projects and outage planning processes
Conduct system performance appraisal and ad hoc studies for awareness of changing Transmission system
Balance work schedules to ensure coverage over critical outage periods
Coordinate work activities of others within work group/department/corporate entity for routine activities
Provide training and guidance to lower-level employees
Coordinate development of input for forecasting costs on routine projects/improvements
Use scheduling techniques for budget and planning activities
Initiate corrective action when project objectives are not met
Develop, review, or present technical reports such as improvement requisitions, studies, and analyses
