Create component footprint geometry and electrical symbols primarily using Mentor Graphics tools
Understand and interpret component package drawings (ASME Y14.5, etc.)
Interface with requesting EEs, other librarians, the Manufacturing Technology Team, and program management, all on a global scale
Review and test CAD geometry created by other ECAD librarians
Manage component data in library database (accessed globally)
Follow all approved BorgWarner ECAD processes to maintain library data integrity
Participate in the development, design, and creation of cells, schematic symbols, and electrical components for automotive electronics applications
Create, develop, and adapt design concepts based on input from clients and engineers using advanced design tools and techniques
Demonstrate a high degree of creativity and understanding of manufacturing processes and tolerances
Provide coaching to less experienced designers
