Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in an Environmental field and a minimum of 1 year of experience or a master’s degree required
  • Experience designing and implementing compliance strategies with OSHA and EPA regulations required
  • Management systems experience preferred
  • Experience with ISO 14001 Management System (preferred)
  • Experience with RCRA as a Large Quantity Generator (preferred)
  • Export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology (U.S. citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, asylee/refugee, or eligible for export license)

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development and deployment of best-in-class EHS programs, systems, and processes
  • Works with facility leadership and senior EHS professionals in complying with federal, state, and local EHS regulations
  • Uses the EHS strategic plan as a template for continuous improvement of EHS metrics
  • Helps drive effective, sustainable implementation of corporate and local initiatives
  • Communicates with regulatory authorities with the assistance of senior EHS professional(s)
  • Maintains an effective communication process with the location's operational and maintenance organizations
  • Provides training to facility employees and acts as a technical EHS resource for site personnel
  • Assists the facility in complying with Clean Air Act including Title V, greenhouse gases, and refrigerants
  • Understands compliance requirements for all air permit assessments and completes applications for new sources or source modification with assistance from senior EHS professionals
  • Assists in the preparation of environmental reports including SARA 312, SARA 313, ESG report for greenhouse gases and water usage
  • Assists the facility in complying with Clean Water Act and hazardous waste regulations
  • May complete TRI, NPDES discharge, and Title V reports to the EPA with direct oversight from senior EHS professionals
  • Responsible for the design and assists in the implementation of the storm water pollution prevention plans
  • Conducts audits to ensure EPA, state, and local environmental compliance
