Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical/scientific field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in EHS, including working in an industrial setting
  • Proven ability to lead EHS training and drive behavioral change
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 and Norwegian regulations
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English, spoken and written
  • Experience with GMP, ISO13485, and auditing is a plus
  • Self-driven, engaged, thrives in a dynamic environment
  • Confident working independently and taking full ownership

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement site-specific EHS strategies, procedures, and training programs
  • Ensure compliance with Norwegian laws and Abbott corporate standards (ISO, FDA, etc.)
  • Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate audits, inspections, and emergency response activities
  • Manage hazardous waste permits, chemical safety, and occupational health programs
  • Drive a proactive safety culture and lead internal behavior change initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed EHS into daily operations
  • Act as key contact for regulatory authorities, internal stakeholders, and contractors
  • Shape the EHS function and ensure alignment with regulations and standards
