Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in child development, special education, early childhood special education, social work, or related field
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children identified as having a developmental delay
  • Experience working with a wide range of children and families from varied socio-economic and cultural backgrounds (preferred)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Cantonese (highly desired)
  • Understanding of key early intervention principles and ability to translate them into goals development and monitoring aligned with service plans
  • Ability to engage children and families, and work with very active children on the floor
  • Successful collaboration with peers and leadership
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Confidentiality and discretion, with compliance to HIPAA requirements
  • Adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Consistent good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Enthusiasm for the values and mission of the organization
  • Ability to work independently and be flexible in changing work and client priorities
  • Physical abilities: frequent bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, twisting; stand or sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours); occasional lifting up to 50 lbs; visual and auditory abilities; frequent speaking, listening, driving, proofreading; ability to use computer, iPhone, iPad; exposure to disabilities, emergencies, trauma; work in client homes and outdoor settings
  • Ability to communicate effectively, read, and write in the primary workplace language
  • Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through DOJ (analyzed per laws and position fitness)
  • Ability to travel to multiple work sites

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective early intervention services in an inclusive and innovative manner that supports families and clients
  • Set and monitor client goals and evaluate clients’ developmental progress
  • Meet or exceed EI individual billed hours and productivity targets
  • Adhere to clinical practice and documentation standards
  • Collaborate with FoC shared services departments to ensure successful delivery of services
  • Adhere to the FoC network structure organizational protocols
  • Ensure compliance, regulatory, and funder requirements are met
  • Follow the Easterseals EI programs business operating system
  • Complete additional job duties as assigned
