Requirements

6 months operator experience with one employer in the last 24 months (documented on application or resume)
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to shovel, climb stairs and ladders up to 60 feet, bend, stretch, and reach
Ability to work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors
Ability to use basic hand tools and perform basic mechanical and maintenance functions
Ability to maintain clean work area using soap and high-pressure hose
Ability to read and complete required logs
Ability to communicate with supervisor and co-workers via two-way radio
Willingness to operate frontend loader or forklift (certification required if assigned)
Willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
Rehire criteria: minimum 180-day waiting period and no more than 3 times previously worked at Tyson Foods
Critical thinking, ability to analyze situations, and develop effective solutions
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues and build positive relationships
Specific operator experience beneficial; transferable skills from related fields (e.g., customer service, management) considered

Responsibilities

Maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture
Receive training as required
Perform various positions as required/assigned
Perform entry-level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures

May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
