  • Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 180 feet
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures, including dust, fumes, moderate noise, and uneven surfaces

Responsibilities

  • Safe and efficient start up, operation, shut down of the conveyor systems, bucket elevator, dust collectors, and scale load-out points
  • Prioritize daily duties/tasks, communicate with management and customers, and maintain written or electronic records
  • Ensure proper work methods and standards; monitor crew work quality; ensure adherence to time schedules and safe work practices, provide performance feedback and input for management
  • Assist with safety committee meetings and morning safety talks
  • Train and onboard new operations workers
  • Communicate and coordinate with management, customers, and shift crew
  • Lead and participate in the work of a crew performing plant operations, switching operations, material handling, and general site maintenance and repair
  • Complete all responsibilities in compliance with all safety protocols, policies, procedures and consistent with the spirit and philosophy of The Andersons’ Statement of Principles
