5+ years’ relevant experience
Ability to stand for an extended period of time
Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds
Ability to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 180 feet
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures, including dust, fumes, moderate noise, and uneven surfaces

Responsibilities

Safe and efficient start up, operation, shut down of the conveyor systems, bucket elevator, dust collectors, and scale load-out points
Prioritize daily duties/tasks, communicate with management and customers, and maintain written or electronic records
Ensure proper work methods and standards; monitor crew work quality; ensure adherence to time schedules and safe work practices, provide performance feedback and input for management
Assist with safety committee meetings and morning safety talks
Train and onboard new operations workers
Communicate and coordinate with management, customers, and shift crew
Lead and participate in the work of a crew performing plant operations, switching operations, material handling, and general site maintenance and repair
Complete all responsibilities in compliance with all safety protocols, policies, procedures and consistent with the spirit and philosophy of The Andersons’ Statement of Principles
