Requirements

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • 2 years driving experience
  • CDL driver's license with passenger endorsement
  • Driver’s License Abstract must meet Virtua Health’s insurance carrier standards
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • CPR certification where transporting patients
  • Defensive driving course (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Pick, deliver, and stock food for the Virtua Food Pantry program
  • Shuttle food from Berlin storage site to Food Pantry locations in Mt. Holly and Camden
  • Pick food from Food Pantry storage area, load Virtua vehicle, deliver to Food Pantry locations, and stock shelves upon arrival
  • Transport materials, patients, or employees throughout the system as directed
  • Maintain good working relationship with and assist patients on and off the van as needed
  • Load and unload materials as required
  • Recognize and triage patient concerns or problems to appropriate staff
  • Drive vehicle safely at all times, maintaining a clean driving record and following New Jersey driving laws
  • Create optimal schedules and routes for meeting department objectives
  • Perform basic office duties during downtime or while waiting for patients
  • Maintain schedule for routine vehicle service and report malfunctions to supervisor promptly
  • Maintain a clean vehicle and inspect it daily to ensure proper working order
