Responsibilities

  • Live CVS purpose by managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
  • Travel district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled by District Performance Coordinator; oversee pharmacy and serve as Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts
  • Support safe/accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing team on workflow procedures and safety guardrails
  • Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, genuine care, coaching team, collaborating with healthcare team, and resolving insurance/medication issues
  • Proactively offer/deliver immunizations and support Pharmacy Technicians in learning to immunize
  • Manage pharmacy inventory by following/guiding team on best practices, especially protecting cold chain products
  • Contribute to safe, inclusive, engaging team dynamic
  • Actively seek opportunities to expand knowledge to better support patients
  • Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through clinical services like testing/prescribing (e.g., COVID/Flu, Hormonal Contraception) where permissible; empower team for holistic care
