Responsibilities

Living CVS purpose by managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts, overseeing pharmacy operations, and serving as Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during shifts
Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing team on workflow procedures and safety guardrails
Assuming Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
Contributing to positive patient experiences through empathy, genuine care, coaching team, collaborating with healthcare teams, and resolving insurance/medication issues
Proactively offering and delivering immunizations; engaging and supporting Pharmacy Technicians to learn immunization
Supporting effective pharmacy inventory management, following best practices, with focus on cold chain products
Remaining flexible for scheduling/business needs while contributing to safe, inclusive, engaging team dynamic
Actively seeking opportunities to expand knowledge to better support patients
Supporting access to care and improving patient outcomes through clinical services like testing and prescribing (e.g., COVID/Flu, Hormonal Contraception) where permissible; empowering team for holistic care
