Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe work environment by leading safety programs, providing training and certifications, enforcing procedures, and addressing issues
  • Develop successful team members through coaching, teaching, and training
  • Collaborate on employee initiatives to promote involvement, empowerment, and commitment, negating the need for third-party representation
  • Assist in developing and executing strategies for recognition, engagement, and teambuilding
  • Collaborate on staffing strategies to ensure workforce flexibility, monitor labor hours, and consult on budgetary/operational impact
  • Provide input into performance assessments, recommend actions (promotions, counseling, termination), and assist with performance conversations
  • Assist with coaching, counseling, discipline, scheduling, interviewing, hiring recommendations, and maintaining records/reports
  • Supervise and provide direction for associates
  • Execute daily operations: monitor productivity/quality, troubleshoot processes, ensure safety, inventory accuracy, on-time deliveries, and customer satisfaction
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and monitoring receiving, storage, assembly, and distribution of items
  • Aid in inventory control training, cycle counts, physical inventories, troubleshooting discrepancies, and performing relocation, replenishment, and consolidation
  • Monitor daily production/performance, reallocate resources (staffing, equipment), and assist with equipment allocation/maintenance
  • Work with Distribution Center Managers, perform delegated duties toward becoming a Distribution Center Manager
  • Make recommendations on programs
