Completed commercial training or comparable qualification in transport & logistics
English language skills
Very good German language skills (German required)
Good Microsoft Office & PC skills
Good geographical knowledge
Sound knowledge of operational processes
Experience in coordinating a team in a busy transport and/or dispatch environment (advantage)
Focused on accuracy and attention to detail

Responsibilities

Preparing courier schedules and routes
Coordinating the distribution of work amongst couriers to achieve station's operational goals efficiently
Monitoring the daily delivery cycle and updating systems with accurate information for correct execution of pick-up and delivery assignments
Providing support to couriers and assisting with issue resolution
Contacting customers when needed to obtain additional information or advise on service-related issues
Proactively reporting issues during the daily delivery cycle to management and compiling reports on station's productivity, volumes, and performance
Briefing and debriefing of local transport partners
Handover and takeover of shipment documentation and its control
Hall dispatch
Interface between freight carriers and employees of adjacent departments
Data entry of PODs
Processing of pick-up orders considering special cases according to ISO handbook
Processing and responsibility for cash-on-delivery
