Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics/finance/accounting; MBA, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or CPA a plus
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or FP&A, ideally with exposure to energy or refining
  • Experience with working capital financing, including revolving credit loan facilities, receivables financing and/or other working capital financing facilities preferred
  • Strong desire to learn transaction financing (M&A financing, HY bond financing, etc.)
  • Track record of partnering with cross-functional leaders to drive operational and financial excellence
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and analytical skills; comfortable presenting to lenders and commodity vendors
  • Proven team player
  • Ability to manage and shift priorities, multi-task and operate successfully in a dynamic environment
  • Experience in energy or refining preferred
  • Willing to travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

  • Support Treasurer in establishing and maintaining revolving credit loan facilities, receivables financing and/or other working capital financing facilities
  • Forecast cash flow and evaluate liquidity needs for the business, and communicate the same to management; prepare cash flow projections
  • Participate in capital investment decisions, including evaluation of financing alternatives
  • Participate in the financial planning process
  • Take a lead role in special projects that impact the financial future of the organization (e.g., acquisitions) by conducting analysis, developing recommendations, sourcing capital, and executing the same
  • Serve as a trusted finance voice, prepare materials for Executive Management and the Board of Directors
  • Partner with senior business leaders across all departments to provide financial guidance and influence strategic decision-making
  • Assist in maintaining positive banking relationships
  • Oversee all facets of the Company’s capital structure, cash flow forecasting, working capital financing, capital allocation decisions, and banking relationships (for both PBF Energy and St. Bernard Renewables LLC)
