Director, Sales - Key Accounts (Sweet Baked Snacks - US Retail Sales)

Position Overview
This role is responsible for achieving profitable sales growth by building and executing annual customer business plans. The Director, Sales will develop strategic annual business plans and track progress to achieve or exceed net sales targets, leveraging omnichannel marketplace awareness and data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
Deliver the Business
- Develop and execute strategic annual business plans to achieve or exceed net sales targets.
- Utilize syndicated and other customer data sources to inform strategic and tactical plans.
- Effectively manage KPI and trade budgets, ensuring visibility.
- Maintain monthly and quarterly sales forecast accuracy and communicate business performance and needs.
Accelerate Team Performance
- Develop a team of sales employees with varied skill levels across the US.
- Inspire and lead direct reports and cross-functional field support teams to maximize effectiveness, aligning with JMS resonant leadership expectations.
- Manage with appropriate interpersonal styles to gain acceptance of ideas and serve as an agent of change.
- Ensure training, tools, and processes are focused on delivering the business in alignment with JMS go-to-market strategies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on customer go-to-market activation.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of company financials, accounting procedures, trade financials, personnel policies, and procedures.
Strategic Partnerships
- Drive strategic partnerships and a long-term focus with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage Customer P&Ls, requiring a strong understanding of key metrics and business knowledge to improve profitability.
- Lead the business planning process in collaboration with cross-functional business partners.
- Empower teams to lead cross-functional initiatives, driving accountability and ownership.
- Demonstrate an ability and interest in continuously raising awareness of customer needs.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance sales strategy and organizational/talent capabilities, making recommendations to leadership.
Customer Development
- Build and maintain relationships with retail partners and key decision-makers.
- Develop strategies to drive category and JMS brand growth for the retailer.
- Manage Joint Business Planning (JBP) and goal alignment with key stakeholders and long-range vision.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 10+ Years of Sales Experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets, including at the HQ level.
- 5+ Years of Broker Management experience.
- 5+ Years of large sales team management and people management experience, with a proven track record of inspiring a team to execute plans.
- Strong Customer Management Skills, including the use of syndicated data sources such as Nielsen or IRI.
- Understanding of P&L Management, Category Management, Trade Promotion Management, Pricing Structures, and Trade Terms.
- Experience with Key Customers such as: HEB, Kroger, Meijer, Target.
- Experience in high impulse drive categories.
