Requirements

  • 6-8 years of experience in primary research
  • Experience in market research methodologies and consumer insights (valuable), with primary focus on corporate reputation and public affairs research
  • Experience executing every stage of quantitative and qualitative research projects
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Ability to work efficiently and quickly produce high-quality work products
  • Experience with new business process (writing proposals, producing pitch decks, developing methodologies and research programs)
  • Experience with client-facing responsibilities, including leading client engagements
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Experience moderating in-depth interviews and online discussion boards (moderating focus groups a plus)
  • Strong analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage qualitative and quantitative research projects from beginning to end with full accountability for success
  • Conceptualize and produce client-ready survey questionnaires, qualitative screeners, and guides requiring minimal edits
  • Conceptualize and produce analyses of research projects (written and visual PowerPoint presentations) requiring minimal edits
  • Provide insights and strategy to clients with a strong strategic voice
  • Manage projects and client relationships independently with minimal oversight (day-to-day needs, timely responses, anticipating needs, regular updates)
  • Moderate qualitative research engagements (in-depth interviews, focus groups, online discussion boards)
  • Oversee and coordinate research projects (track details, organize tasks, ensure timeline adherence)
  • Oversee project fielding (review partials, provide edits, discuss weighting with data team, troubleshoot issues)
  • Train, manage, and oversee junior staff on project execution; exhibit basic supervisory skills for direct reports
  • Lead development of new business proposals (produce, edit, deliver presentations with senior oversight)
  • Conceptualize and develop research designs and methodological approaches for new business to meet client objectives
