  • 15+ years in nuclear power industry, with 10+ years in regulatory affairs
  • Leadership experience in managing teams and projects

  • Deeply focused regulatory and compliance knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement regulatory strategies that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure that nuclear facilities and operations are in full compliance with regulatory standards such as the Atomic Energy Act, the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), and various industry-specific safety and environmental standards
  • Work closely with senior leadership to integrate regulatory considerations into long-term business strategy, including nuclear plant construction, upgrades, or decommissioning
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of regulatory affairs professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous learning
  • Ensure the team is up to date on regulatory developments and industry best practices, providing training and professional development opportunities
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate regulatory risks related to the licensing, operation, and shutdown of nuclear plants
  • Oversee all aspects of regulatory compliance, advocacy, and strategic engagement with regulatory bodies
  • Maintain the license to operate, drive regulatory strategy, and manage complex interactions with Nuclear Regulatory Commissioners
