Requirements

Ability to complete an audit of current sourcing practices and deliver a summary report with key improvement opportunities within 30 days
Expertise in identifying and managing top strategic suppliers, including preparing negotiation strategies for master agreements
Proficiency in spend analysis to identify cost-reduction opportunities
Experience conducting alignment meetings with cross-functional teams (e.g., contract manufacturers, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality)
Skills in defining procurement KPIs, reporting templates, and process mapping, including identifying compliance gaps
Capability to draft ethical sourcing policies and identify sustainability improvements
Ability to deliver a strategic sourcing framework, secure leadership approval, and implement it with demonstrated cost savings (e.g., 10% across categories)
Experience renegotiating supplier agreements for improved pricing or lead times
Knowledge of SOX-compliant procurement process redesign, including workflow diagrams
Proficiency in launching procurement dashboards for tracking KPIs (cost savings, supplier performance, risk mitigation)
Ability to achieve high supplier performance metrics (e.g., 95% on-time delivery, <2% defect rate)
Experience in supplier performance management, including quarterly reviews and scorecards
Capability to build scalable procurement infrastructure supporting growth and new product introductions

Responsibilities

Lead strategic sourcing and procurement operations, including sourcing strategic components and indirect spend
Re-engineer procurement processes and platforms
Work cross-functionally to ensure optimal suppliers, materials, and cost structures for growth and innovation
Drive supplier performance, cost optimization, and supply continuity
Build a scalable procurement infrastructure
Within 30 days: Audit sourcing practices, identify improvement opportunities, top suppliers, negotiation strategies, spend analysis, cost-reduction opportunities, alignment with contract manufacturers, define KPIs/reporting, map processes/compliance gaps, align with Engineering/Manufacturing/Quality, outline ethical sourcing policy
Within 90 days: Deliver strategic sourcing framework, renegotiate supplier agreements, prioritize cost-reduction initiatives, redesign SOX-compliant processes, launch KPI dashboard, implement cross-functional alignment plan, publish ethical sourcing policy draft
Within 12 months: Implement sourcing framework with 10% cost savings, achieve supplier performance targets, complete process re-engineering with SOX compliance, launch comprehensive dashboard, execute cost-reduction initiatives, establish supplier performance program, implement ethical sourcing policy with compliance, build scalable infrastructure
