Candidates should possess experience in designing and provisioning cloud services and infrastructure, particularly with AWS, along with expertise in DevOps teams, distributed systems, microservice architecture, and cell-based architecture. They should also have experience building and designing production-ready and resilient systems, utilizing SRE tooling such as New Relic, Pager Duty, OpenTelemetry, and Splunk. Furthermore, candidates must be proficient in one or more programming languages including Java, GoLang, or Python, and demonstrate familiarity with automation testing tools like Selenium, BDD, Cucumber, Gherkin, TestNG, Junit, Postman, and JMeter.
As the Director of Platform Engineering, you will advance the lower environment strategy to improve stability, increase support, and reduce interdependence. You will contribute to lower environments through investments in automation, E2E observability, resiliency, service virtualization, and test data management. You will apply concepts of distributed tracing, backtesting, ephemeral environments, and multi-tenant architecture patterns, identifying and hiring architects and teams to establish a robust backlog of investments aligned to the platform agenda. You will work across domains and teams within Decisioning to set benchmarks and standards, implementing common solutions and patterns that can be adopted or leveraged by the domain teams, and partnering with other horizontal efforts across the company to align patterns, solutions, and target tooling, ultimately delivering immediate short-term wins aligned to strategic objectives.
