Candidates need a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (Master’s preferred), minimum 2 years of nonprofit accounting and government grants management experience at director level, strong knowledge of financial reporting and compliance, team leadership experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting systems, plus excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
The role involves managing and mentoring the accounting team, including the Controller.
A strong candidate will have director-level nonprofit accounting and grants experience, proven team leadership, deep compliance and GAAP knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with senior leaders and the Board in a fast-paced environment.
