Requirements

  • CPA or suitable equivalent
  • College degree in Accounting
  • Strong financial technical knowledge and analytical skills
  • Three or more years in public accounting, including participation in the audits of publicly held companies or equivalent experience
  • Good communication and supervisory skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage the timely and accurate monthly closing of the general ledger
  • Ensure the Company’s compliance with Rule 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
  • Manage the annual financial statement audit and quarterly reviews
  • Manage all monthly/annual reporting for bank debt
  • Manage the timely and accurate preparation and distribution of the financial statements on a monthly basis
  • Prepare and upload financial statements and backup to bank
  • Ensure the maintenance of proper documentation of accounting policies and procedures and control activities
  • Review or prepare workpapers required for the financial statement audit and the quarterly reviews
  • Coordinate the quarterly communication with the Board/Executive Ownership team
  • Oversee the process for the timely reconciliation of all balance sheet and certain income statement general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and/or review certain monthly account reconciliations for reasonableness and accuracy
  • Summarize and evaluate the implementation of new accounting standards and reporting issues involving publicly filed documents
  • Supervise, support and develop the direct reports
  • Assist the VP - Controller with his/her responsibilities and work on special projects when appropriate
