Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in compliance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the background screening industry. Strong knowledge of FCRA, state and local laws, and accreditation requirements is essential, as is the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations. Experience managing and developing teams is also required.

Responsibilities

The Director of Compliance will be responsible for implementing and maintaining compliance policies and procedures aligned with legal and regulatory requirements, including FCRA and state-specific regulations. They will monitor and analyze changes in laws and regulations, collaborate with leadership to integrate compliance into business operations, manage compliance-related complaints, provide training and education to employees and customers, and identify opportunities for process improvement. Additionally, they will oversee team performance, attract and recruit top talent, and complete ad hoc tasks and projects as needed.
