  • Insights MacGyver & Gold Miner: entrepreneurial, scrappy, creative problem solver who balances perfection with velocity, operates autonomously with available tools, and navigates complex databases to mine and distribute insights
  • Boardroom Ready, Code Capable: comfortable presenting to C-suite and working hands-on in code bases to mine, visualize, and interpret data
  • Customer-Obsessed, Relentlessly Curious, Service-First: expert in media customers’ needs, pain points, and challenges; assumes challenges can be solved with Samba data and obsessively proves it; uncovers new data points, metrics, or interpretations; earns trust through service-first approach

  • Able to operate autonomously, navigate ambiguity, and manage through complexity to deliver results quickly

Responsibilities

  • Innovate, Build, Iterate, Launch: proactively identify insights and data gaps in the global media landscape, and build automated solutions (e.g., scrappy prototype-style insights products like dashboards, LLM retrieval interfaces) to fill those gaps; test with sellers and customers, and send to production for scaled monetization
  • Ideate and Deliver Bespoke, Consultative Insights: work collaboratively with sellers, sales engineers, product teams, and data scientists to ideate and deliver bespoke insights, services, or data solutions that add value and deliver ROI for Samba’s most strategic, high-value customers
  • Deliver Standardized Insights Reports & Improve Retrieval for Internal Teams: support business development teams by delivering standardized insights for prospecting, pitches, customer outreach, etc.; proactively improve retrieval methods for standardized reports and recurring insights requests to enable self-service insights at scale among sellers
