Position Overview

Research, design, develop, and test robotic and machine learning applications for an AV company.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the complete machine learning cycle: data collection, labeling, processing, algorithm design, model training, and evaluation.
  • Formulate problem statements specific to autonomous operations and design innovative solutions to address them.
  • Design novel machine learning models and algorithms, including new deep learning architectures, loss functions, and training protocols.
  • Utilize advanced machine learning techniques such as convolutional neural networks and Generative AI to enhance object detection and perception.
  • Work on improving perception properties of detected objects, such as their kinematics, intent, and short-term trajectory predictions.
  • Develop and implement novel solutions to integrate multiple sensors (e.g., Camera, RADAR, LiDAR) and other contextual information like High Definition Maps and temporal streams of data.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of autonomous vehicles.
  • Provide support on debugging real-time issues on the ride-hail fleet that are due to perception related problems.
  • May telecommute.

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Data Science, Automotive Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Three years of experience working as a Machine Learning Engineer, Computer Vision Engineer, Systems Engineer, Software Engineer, Data Scientist, or a related occupation.
  • Background/Experience must include:
    • Radar Perception using AI (artificial intelligence).
    • Monocular 3D object detection.
    • Autonomous Vehicle Sensor Fusion.
    • Data Structures and Python, C++, and ROS programming.
    • Machine Learning Model Optimization.
    • Developing Auto-Labeling Techniques.
    • Large-Scale Data Generation and Analytics.
    • Experience with Utilizing Advanced Mathematical Concepts to develop and refine Machine Learning Models.

Compensation

  • Expected Base Compensation: $168,480 to $254,000 Annually.
    • Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance. #LI-DNI
