Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in user experience, design, or a related field, with over 10 years of experience in user experience and design, including expert knowledge of mobile and web design principles, information architecture, user-centered design, and design thinking. A minimum of 7 years of management experience is required, demonstrating a track record of hiring and developing strong UX/UI designers and researchers. The ideal candidate will have an innate understanding of consumer-focused digital experiences across site, mobile, and in-store, preferably with direct experience in omni-channel retail e-commerce, along with strong retail insights and a passion for design or fashion goods.

Responsibilities

The Head of Design will define and evangelize Minted's overall UX strategy and vision for mobile and desktop experiences, ensuring alignment with brand and product strategy. This role involves articulating a vision into an actionable roadmap, collaborating with cross-functional partners, and establishing design principles, patterns, and guidelines for consistency. Responsibilities include representing customer needs in the design process, mentoring cross-functional teams on UX best practices, reviewing all UX design work, and developing an effective organizational structure for the User Experience team. Additionally, the Head of Design will recruit, hire, manage, and mentor digital UX/UI designers, define high-quality standards with external design resources, and establish UX/UI processes with measurable metrics for quality and rapid time to market.
