Requirements

Candidates must possess a Master's or Doctorate degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or a related field, along with a minimum of 7 years of experience in epidemiological and biostatistical study design within life sciences, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology sectors, and at least 3 years of experience leading research study teams. Experience with advanced epidemiological and biostatistical principles and their application in healthcare research, as well as experience in team resource allocation and project management, is also required. Strong client-facing skills with expertise in building relationships in the healthcare analytics space are essential.

Responsibilities

As the Director, Data and Science, you will guide the development of robust epidemiological and biostatistical study designs for commercial retrospective clinical studies, including protocols, methodologies, and statistical analysis plans. You will lead a team of 5 ICs, promoting their growth and ensuring high-quality output in study design and analysis, and engage with life science customers to align project goals with Verana's data and analytic capabilities. You will also work with teams across the organization to translate clinical questions into appropriate study designs and data analytics requirements, ensure the scientific rigor and validity of your team's study deliverables and methodologies, and foster a culture of innovation and excellence within your team.
