Registered Nurse (RN) license
Technically proficient in dialysis department operations and knowledge of industry practices and business principles
Experienced leadership in a multi-faceted environment, with ability to manage tactical execution of short- and long-term objectives
Ability to analyze diverse situations or data, evaluate factors, and understand current business trends
Knowledge of ESRD regulatory requirements, FMS quality standards, QAI tools, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations
Compliance with FMCNA Compliance Program, FMS policies, and patient care/administrative policies
Skills in hiring, coaching, counseling, performance reviews, disciplinary action, and terminations
Ability to provide technical guidance, leadership, and development plans for direct reports

Responsibilities

Manage tactical execution of short- and long-term objectives, including costs, methods, and staffing, with direct responsibility for results
Provide leadership, coaching, and development plans for direct reports to maintain an engaged workforce; partner with HR on employee matters
Support and drive FMS quality standards by meeting ESRD regulatory requirements and practicing Quality Assessment and Improvement (QAI), including use of FMS QAI tools
Address and act on adverse events and action thresholds
Oversee facility’s Home Therapies Program if applicable
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, FMS Clinical Quality policies, and procedures; communicate and implement them
Maintain integrity of medical records, administrative/operational records, data collections, and auditing activities
Maintain facility environmental integrity, including safety
Coordinate all aspects of patient care from admission through discharge with appropriate staff
Ensure patient education on quality measures, transplant options, modality awareness, access care (including catheter reduction), and treatment adherence
Act as a resource for patients to address concerns and questions
Make daily decisions as clinical leader to ensure continuity of care, patient safety, and staff safety
Participate and present at meetings with internal/external representatives; lead cooperative project team efforts
Interact with subordinate supervisors, customers, functional peers, internal departments, and external customers for problem resolution
Perform other related duties as assigned
