Requirements

Candidates must possess an active Nurse Practitioner (APRN) license in good standing in the required states or be able to obtain licensure in multiple states within 90 days of hire. Board certification in Family Medicine, Adult-Gerontology, or Internal Medicine is required, along with a minimum of 2 years of primary care, urgent care, or internal medicine experience, preferably with telehealth experience. Active BLS certification at the time of hire is also mandatory. Flexibility with shift times, including potential future weekend shifts, is necessary.

Responsibilities

The Virtual Primary Care Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive virtual primary care, including chronic disease management, preventive screenings, acute care visits, and medication management. Responsibilities include diagnosing and managing chronic conditions, evaluating and treating acute concerns, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and managing prescriptions. The role also involves providing health coaching and patient education, coordinating referrals and services, utilizing and providing feedback on the electronic health platform, and participating in clinical case reviews and interdisciplinary collaborations. Continuous learning and staying updated on best practices in virtual care are expected.
