Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a STEM related field
  • 2+ years of professional experience working in support of a trading business / end users within a financial services company. Experience in the Muni area a plus - but open to experience in any asset class
  • Experience with scripting / coding / software development in at least one major language. Python and/or C# experience preferred - but Java, C, C++, or any major language is acceptable. Experience designing, coding, testing, and delivering software
  • Strong focus on automation of routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
  • Proven expertise in troubleshooting complex technical issues, managing incidents end-to-end

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for business users of a complex Muni trading platform
  • Build telemetry and observability solutions
  • Incident analysis and mitigation
  • Facilitate blameless postmortems - including designing and implementing solutions to avoid reoccurrence
  • Analyze effort patterns (user queries, service requests, incidents, workflows) for optimization and toil reduction
  • Plan, lead, supervise and optimize the production related software and infrastructure for capacity and resiliency
  • Leverage AI and next-generation toolsets to scale team capacity / efficiency / improve platform uptime
  • Tight collaboration with development, infrastructure and third-party vendor teams
  • Over time, grow to support various other asset classes and businesses within PIMCO
