Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a STEM related field
2+ years of professional experience working in support of a trading business / end users within a financial services company. Experience in the Muni area a plus - but open to experience in any asset class
Experience with scripting / coding / software development in at least one major language. Python and/or C# experience preferred - but Java, C, C++, or any major language is acceptable. Experience designing, coding, testing, and delivering software
Strong focus on automation of routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
Proven expertise in troubleshooting complex technical issues, managing incidents end-to-end

Responsibilities

Act as the main point of contact for business users of a complex Muni trading platform
Build telemetry and observability solutions
Incident analysis and mitigation
Facilitate blameless postmortems - including designing and implementing solutions to avoid reoccurrence
Analyze effort patterns (user queries, service requests, incidents, workflows) for optimization and toil reduction
Plan, lead, supervise and optimize the production related software and infrastructure for capacity and resiliency
Leverage AI and next-generation toolsets to scale team capacity / efficiency / improve platform uptime
Tight collaboration with development, infrastructure and third-party vendor teams
Over time, grow to support various other asset classes and businesses within PIMCO
