Candidates should possess a conceptual understanding of version control systems (git), including branching and merging strategies, a conceptual understanding of cloud platforms AWS/Azure/GCP, a conceptual understanding of Snowflake, and conceptual understanding or exposure to software build tools (Maven, Gradle) and continuous integration tools (Jenkins). Applicants must have supported Java-based applications in the production environment and a conceptual understanding of Linux environments and scripting languages - bash, python, Groovy.
The DevOps Engineer (Intern) will work on operations tickets and project task queue with the DevOps Team, communicate with the rest of the Engineering for roll out broad changes for customers, automate operational and server provisioning workflows using AWS CFT, share the responsibility for deploying releases and conducting other operations maintenance, enhance operations infrastructure such as Jenkins clusters, Bitbucket, monitoring tools (Consul), and metrics tools like Graphite and Grafana, provide operational support for the rest of the Engineering team, and help migrate the remaining dedicated hardware infrastructure to the cloud.
