Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical field
  • 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or a related area
  • Solid understanding of Linux systems and scripting languages such as Bash or Python
  • Demonstrated experience with setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., using GitHub Actions)
  • Practical experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes)
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, along with introductory experience using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform
  • Familiarity with basic monitoring and logging frameworks and an understanding of key security principles in a DevOps context
  • U.S. Citizen and eligible for DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions to streamline development workflows
  • Independently manage and troubleshoot containerized applications, ensuring reliable deployments and optimal performance
  • Assist in the design and maintenance of cloud-based solutions, with a focus on scalability, cost-efficiency, and security best practices
  • Utilize Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud resources as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), while learning to handle more complex module and state management scenarios
  • Collaborate closely with security teams to enforce infrastructure security standards and proactively identify potential risks
  • Monitor system performance using established logging and monitoring tools and propose improvements for resilience and efficiency
  • Provide technical support to software development teams by troubleshooting deployment issues and identifying optimization opportunities
  • Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to promote shared knowledge and continuous improvement across the team
