Candidates should possess 3+ years of DevOps or infrastructure engineering experience, preferably within a high-growth startup environment. They must have strong AWS experience, including familiarity with services such as EC2, ECS, RDS, Lambda, and IAM, along with proficiency in scripting languages like Python and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform. Furthermore, a solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals and the ability to debug and optimize complex systems are essential, as is experience with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate the capacity to take ownership of large initiatives from the outset.
As the first DevOps Engineer at EliseAI, the individual will be responsible for building, maintaining, and improving infrastructure using AWS and modern DevOps practices. They will design and implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems to ensure high availability, automate deployment pipelines and manage CI/CD workflows, and collaborate with engineers to identify and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues. Additionally, they will improve system security and auditability across environments, and evaluate and introduce new tools and technologies to enhance operations.
