Requirements

Candidates should possess at least 2 years of hands-on experience in building or maintaining fault-tolerant and scalable systems, along with experience in Unix/Linux environments and cloud platforms such as AWS (EC2, CloudWatch, Lambda). Experience with infrastructure management tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, configuration management systems like Ansible or Chef, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GoCD is required, as is scripting proficiency in languages like Bash, Perl, Python, Ruby, Go lang, or Rust. A tools-first mindset, focused on building tools to increase efficiency, is also essential.

Responsibilities

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, creating, and delivering a highly available, flexible, low-latency, and secure cloud infrastructure, improving scalability, service reliability, capacity, and performance. You will write automation code for provisioning and operating infrastructure at scale, learn to maintain and improve data processing pipelines utilizing services like Apache Spark, Apache Flink, and real-time analytics databases such as Apache Druid. Collaboration with development teams to ensure applications fit within the infrastructure, along with working with QE to build pipelines and automation for application delivery to production, is crucial. Flexibility for on-call duties following a ‘follow the sun’ model is also expected.
