Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, along with proficiency in PostgreSQL, Aurora, ClickHouse, and Scylla database administration. They must also demonstrate expertise in database architecture design, installation, migration, and upgrade, coupled with proficiency in AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes configuration. Experience with Linux and Network Concepts, and familiarity with GitOps using ArgoCD is a plus.
The DevOps Database Administrator will be responsible for administration, maintenance, configuration, installation, and support of databases, participating in technical and administration tasks such as database upgrades, security tool implementations, vulnerability checks, server upgrades, and migrations. They will perform platform management including backup and restoration, troubleshooting SQL performance, monitoring usage, and capacity planning, while also developing and maintaining key database documentation and standardizing operation procedures. Furthermore, they will automate and streamline operations in an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) manner and communicate, escalate, and follow up on issues to ensure timely resolution.
