Candidates should possess at least 2 years of experience writing Nuke pipeline code using Python, strong written and verbal communication skills, a demonstrated talent for designing intuitive and artist-friendly workflows without sacrificing functionality, an understanding of object-oriented programming patterns, comfort with Git and unit testing, a desire to probe and understand the inner workings of complex systems, and basic DCC familiarity with Houdini and Maya. Experience with PyQt or PySide is preferred, and a foundational understanding of color science is a plus.
The 2D pipeline developer will work and support the 2D pipeline team, artists, and supervisors to solve Nuke-related issues, collaborating with other pipeline team members to identify and resolve complex challenges for tools, plug-ins, and workflows. They will develop and maintain efficient and creative workflows and tools for composting artists, troubleshoot artist tool issues, work daily with the pipeline management team and team lead to implement existing and new features, attend daily scrum meetings, write technical briefs and user documentation, identify early areas of improvement and escalate issues as needed.
