Candidates should possess 10+ years of systems engineering experience, including 4+ years in a Senior Technical Lead position focused on distributed streaming architectures, expert-level knowledge of streaming infrastructure such as real-time data streaming and video delivery systems, strong technical leadership experience managing cross-functional development teams, and excellent client-facing skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. They should also have experience with real-time technology ecosystems, including live event streaming and broadcast integration, strategic thinking capabilities combined with hands-on technical expertise in streaming architecture design, and experience building scalable systems that handle variable load patterns and peak event traffic.
The Senior Technical Lead will design and oversee the complete streaming architecture, including the Nexus server platform and coordination between all streaming components, establish and maintain coordination cadence between development pods, manage client communications about infrastructure needs and security requirements, lead data provider integrations, maintain overall technical temperament and strategic direction of the streaming development pod, support Technical Writer in creating documentation, define technical standards and code review processes, oversee integration between backend services and frontend applications, lead technical decision making on scalability and performance, and support the Head of Technology in establishing the technical roadmap.
