Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, or related field (or suitable combination of education, experience, and training)
  • 2+ years of experience designing and developing innovative footwear and other products
  • Ability to apply design skills such as drawing/sketching, ideation, visual presentation development, and layout
  • Passion for Culture, Music, Art, Sneakers, Streetwear
  • Strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills
  • Ability to create accurate 2D technical drawings (tech packs)
  • Strong sketching, illustration, and rendering skills
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
  • Ability to generate a broad range of concepts and solutions for each project
  • Experienced with presentation programs: Keynote, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc
  • Positive personality and energy
  • Ability to contribute and align to shared team culture and behaviors
  • Must submit a footwear design focused portfolio
  • Cobbling and prototyping skills (plus)
  • 3D knowledge and AI experience (plus)
  • Experience in technical footwear design (plus)
  • Experience in 3D design programs (plus)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with design management to gain experience, enhance design skills, and increase knowledge of Nike's design philosophy, products, and processes
  • Partner with category team members in design, development, and merchandising to ensure feasibility of designs, meeting price point, merchandising needs, and product creation timelines
  • Report to the Director, NSW Energy Footwear Product Design
  • Work on designs that push the possibilities of sports and culture through footwear
  • Explore new opportunities, take risks, and change the game
  • Engage with project teammates on researching, gaining insights, problem solving around performance and manufacturing, working with consumers, and creating a vast range of creative, beautiful, sustainable, and cost-considerate solutions
  • Participate and present work in informal and formal reviews
  • Collaborate and engage innovation partners and consumers
