Responsibilities

  • Design roof trusses, floor trusses, wall panels, and engineered wood products (EWP) for residential and commercial projects
  • Use MiTek software to prepare bids, layouts, and engineered profiles
  • Collaborate with experienced professionals to meet customer needs and provide design solutions
  • Participate in paid comprehensive training in Burlington, North Carolina (January Design Trainee Class – 4-6 weeks)
  • Build relationships with retail clients, builders, framers, and developers to answer design questions and deliver top-tier service
  • Work with a mentor for 12 months at home plant after initial training
