Requirements

Extensive experience (10+ years) in a manufacturing or fabrication environment, with a significant portion in a leadership or senior engineering role
Bachelor of Engineering degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited Engineering institute
Extensive experience in Analytical Thinking (seeks discrepancies, organizes steps, identifies causes, quantifies costs/benefits/risks, breaks down complex problems, chooses analytical tools)
Working knowledge in Effective Communications (delivers feedback, listens to feedback, makes presentations/writes reports, avoids jargon, considers non-verbal cues)
Knowledge of Managing Multiple Priorities (effective self-management for concurrent objectives/projects)

Responsibilities

Researching new materials and competitive products; organizing, coordinating, and executing the building, testing, and analysis of prototypes
Evaluate and improve existing fabrication processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity
Develop new manufacturing processes and detailed work instructions based on engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and quality standards
Apply advanced manufacturing techniques and lean methodologies to drive continuous improvement
Design and develop custom tooling, jigs, and fixtures required for specialized fabrication
Conduct time studies and cost analyses to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization
Responsible for fabrication processes for pressure vessels, piping systems, and other large-scale structures
Assisting supply specialists and buyers with supplier development and supplier performance
Overseeing the efforts of drafting and testing specialists
Developing and documenting functional requirements and translating into detail design documents
Participating in buy-build analysis for product components
Participating in and supporting proposal preparation, cost estimates, and technical reports
