Experience with tech coverage, particularly large-cap Silicon Valley companies and AI innovators, is a plus, and a knowledge of the digital and social media landscape is also required.
The Deputy Managing Editor will help the Managing Editor oversee coverage planning, story ideation, long-term projects, and quality control, work with section editors to ensure a robust daily output, step in as needed to edit and write for newsletters, contribute to and fill in on high-level planning meetings, and help take the Business team to new heights in scoops, analysis, and insights that serve readers.
