Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • Ability to work in cross-border and multinational environments
  • Business level Japanese and English required
  • Worked in IT with multiple experiences in project management, including managing a project exceeding USD 1M
  • Experience working in IT department of an insurance company or developing systems for an insurance company, with knowledge of insurance products and insurance company systems
  • Experience in stakeholder management, including senior managements
  • Experience as a Line Manager managing members, with ability to motivate and lead them

Responsibilities

  • Work in close alignment with business teams to enable all new insurance product development projects and existing product revision projects related deliveries
  • As IT representative, work with senior managements in product departments to create a project plan
  • As Line Manager of IT Delivery Leads (responsible for project delivery), assign them to projects and manage them
  • Through coaching IT Delivery Leads, ensure schedule, cost as planned, and quality of deliverables
  • If a project is off track, advise or instruct IT Delivery Leads on how to get it back on track
  • Provide project status reports to CIO and escalate issues/risks to senior managements
  • Participate in Project Steering Committee and manage stakeholders, including senior managements
