Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma
At least one year of related experience
At least 21 years of age at the time of hire
Minimum of three years driving history
Successful completion of Apria Healthcare's Driver Training Program
Must meet job-related requirements to comply with D.O.T., F.D.A., and standards of accrediting body
Proficiency in English (reading, writing, verbal)
Valid driver’s license specific to vehicle operated
Physical abilities: use hands to finger/handle/feel, reach with hands/arms, stoop/kneel/crouch, talk/hear, close/distant/night vision, adjust focus, lift objects from 1” to 36” high
Responsibilities
Pull, pack, deliver, and pick up medications, supplies, and basic equipment
Instruct patients on basic use of respiratory therapy equipment, durable medical equipment, oxygen equipment, and other approved equipment/services
Load and unload durable medical and infusion equipment onto delivery vehicle
Respond to emergency delivery calls during regular business hours and on-call
Complete paperwork including daily delivery logs, pick-up/delivery forms, and vehicle maintenance logs; distribute to appropriate personnel
Maintain supply component of patient profiles
Notify supervisor of issues in patient's home: physical abuse, unsafe/unsanitary environment, or unsanitary animals
