Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma
At least one year of related experience
Must be at least 21 years of age or older at the time of hire
Minimum of three years driving history
Successful completion of Apria Healthcare’s Driver Training Program
English (reading, writing, verbal) proficiency
Responsibilities
Pulls, packs, delivers, and picks up medications, supplies, and basic equipment
Instructs patients on basic use of respiratory therapy equipment, durable medical equipment, oxygen equipment, and other equipment/services approved by state licensure limitations
Loads and unloads durable medical and infusion equipment onto delivery vehicle
Responds to emergency delivery calls as needed during regular business hours and on an on-call basis
Completes necessary paperwork including daily delivery logs, pick-up and delivery forms, and vehicle maintenance logs
Maintains supply component of patient profiles
Notifies supervisor if physical abuse of any family member, unsafe home environment (e.g., unsanitary conditions, insufficient food for children), or animals causing unsanitary conditions are discovered in the patient’s home
Cleans and assists with the repair of equipment
Performs routine vehicle maintenance including checking gasoline, oil fluids, tire pressure, and brakes; reports malfunctions to supervisor
