Responsibilities
Provides high level of customer service: answers questions, recommends deli items, takes special orders and calls, helps select products, samples products
Slices, packages, weighs, and prepares deli products including special orders and party trays
Receives, inspects, displays, stocks, rotates, and stores deli shipments following policies
Ensures products are fresh, meet quality standards, checks for out-of-date items daily, follows salvage procedures
Stocks and rotates deli items to maintain variety in cooler shelves and display cases
Operates deli equipment per safety policies
Cleans and sanitizes deli equipment, food surfaces, rotisserie ovens, utensils, cases, and cooler throughout the department
Ensures scale systems are maintained (implied from description)
Maintains presentation, cleanliness of deli display cases and department
Supports club policies, procedures, compliance; acts with honesty, integrity; ensures safe, positive environment; embraces inclusion and diversity
