Requirements

4+ years of professional experience in software design, operational excellence, and analytical problem-solving
Experienced with the AWS ecosystem, including S3, Redshift, and AWS role and token management
Experienced in Databricks (PySpark, Python, Workflows), Delta format, REST APIs
Strong communication and collaboration skills: share knowledge, grow from feedback, communicate with empathy
Thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and adept at managing multiple priorities and initiatives simultaneously

Responsibilities

Work within Zalando's central Data Management team, responsible for data management services across the entire Zalando group
Follow Data Mesh principles and collaborate with diverse teams of talented engineers, data scientists, and analysts to grow and drive innovation in data management and data governance activities, bringing to life Zalando's data strategy
Closely collaborate with Product Managers to identify potentials to optimise data governance products and data quality processes and tools
Provide self-service and automated data quality processes for the Zalando central data quality platform, reducing manual intervention and improving overall efficiency
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance data pipelines for data governance products
Facilitate decision making by writing carefully crafted narrative documents which clearly communicate the rationale in an easily digestible and professional manner
Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team
