Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or completion of a college program in a related discipline
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a data centre environment or in managing infrastructure systems
  • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent technical foundation
  • Working knowledge of structured cabling systems and standards (ANSI/TIA-568, ISO/IEC 11801)
  • Familiarity with data centre design standards (ANSI/TIA-942)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Required to work onsite typically 5 days a week

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling, cabling, and physical security
  • Perform installations, moves, adds, and changes (IMAC) for servers, network equipment, and cabling
  • Ensure compliance with structured cabling standards such as ANSI/TIA-568 and ISO/IEC 11801
  • Maintain awareness of ANSI/TIA-942 data centre design and operational standards
  • Conduct routine inspections and audits to ensure optimal performance and uptime
  • Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to support infrastructure projects and incident resolution
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assets, cabling diagrams, and change records
  • Support capacity planning and environmental monitoring tools
